Waterfalls with Hikes/Vistas From Tallest Vertical Drop in Eastern US

Waterfalls with Hikes/Vistas From Tallest Vertical Drop in Eastern US: (Just because they are easy to get to don't miss Lower Cullasaja Falls and Dry Falls.) Glen Falls off NC 106 outside of Highlands provides three waterfalls and some long range views in two miles of good exercise. Return to Highlands and take US 64 East towards Cashiers to reach the turnoff to Whiteside Mountain (closed during Peregrine Falcon breeding season), a good hour hike to the Tallest Vertical Drop in the Eastern US: each bend rewards you with a new vista over the Southern mountains. Returning to US 64, turn right (East) and continue towards Cashiers. Turn South on NC 107 to visit Sliver Run Falls. From there "dip" into South Carolina (to get over the mountain) and turn left on SC 413 and then left (North) again when it dead-ends at SC 130 (which becomes NC 281 as you reenter NC) to visit Whitewater Falls, the tallest waterfall in the East. There are three choices of views of Whitewater Falls: from the overlook, the top, or for those cardiovascular exercise freaks from the bottom. On the way back, to keep your legs from cramping stop for the hike to Turtleback and Rainbow Falls.
